See, I don't think it serves any purpose anymore. Some folks have blogs that still work great. Mine...I don't have anything to say here that I can't say more easily on Facebook. Even if Facebook's a pain in the ass on occasion...
I think you're selling yourself short. You have an interesting writing style that brings people back regardless of the topic.
Facebook doesn't allow you to express yourself with writing; it's simply a tool for sharing brief thoughts and links to the writings of other people.
So, in essence, Facebook is "easier" because you don't really have to "write" anything, which makes it ideal for mass consumption. There are still some people who enjoy reading good writing, and we appreciate a blog more than the snippets we are offered on Facebook.
I hope you won't give up blogging, because I do think you have stuff to write, and I want to read it!
